HOTEL SOLEST TAKACHIHO HOTEL

SOLEST TAKACHIHO HOTEL was built in the center of Takachiho, Miyazaki prefecture, known as a mysterious place where the gods descended in ancient times. It is located a 5-minute walk from Takachiho Shrine, where Night Kagura is dedicated. The hotel has 8 special rooms with a tsuboniwa (small Japanese garden), 18㎡ double rooms, and 24㎡ twin rooms, totaling 68 rooms and a restaurant that is mainly used by hotel guests. A water basin is installed in front of the restaurant terrace, and Kagura ceremonial dance was performed on the central stage at the time of the hotel’s opening. The guest rooms are compact, however a library is set up in the lobby area, providing a space where guests can relax and spend their time with free coffee. The overall artwork is commissioned to photographer Masayuki Hayashi, who took about a year to shoot the work and decorate the hotel, so guests can feel the energy of Takachiho wherever they are in the hotel.
