CAFE THE ROASTERY

This is a specialty store for third-wave coffee, said to have evolved from Japan’s cafe culture. The menu is limited to single-origin coffee, latte, cappuccino, espresso, and the like, and coffee beans are roasted on a large roasting machine in the store. The biggest feature of the interior is the counter in the center of the store, which is constructed with an octagonal on-site terrazzo. Pendant lights were relocated from a Dutch factory to illuminate it. The staff working behind the counter are projected as if they were dancing on stage.
